Former Minister Ramchandra Rai was murdered in Sarlahi. He was a leader and founder of Rashtriya Prajatantra Party. He was a candidate for the post of vice president in the last convention. According to the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party, ex-minister Ray was killed using a sharp weapon in his own residence in Sarlahi.

The parity has demanded that the truth of the incident should be investigated immediately and the culprits should be found and strict action should be taken.
