Snowfall has been reported in the highland areas of Kalikot district, alongside rainfall in the lowland. The areas affected by both rain and snowfall include Tilagufa, Khandachakra, Raskot municipalities, and Sannitriveni Rural Municipality

The recent snowfall in the area has brought about a noticeable drop in temperatures, especially in the mountainous regions.

Nayab Bahadur Bista, in-charge of the Pankha health post, informed that the cold has risen due to the snowfall in the higher elevations. With this, there has been a reduction in the number of patients seeking medical attention at the health post.

On Monday, over 50 patients came for medical check-ups at the health post by afternoon. But on Tuesday, due to the cold, no one visited the health post. This drop in patients is because of the recent snowfall in the highlands and last night's rainfall in the lowlands. After the snow, sheep and goats from the highlands started moving to lower regions to escape the cold.

Ranga Khadka from Raskot-2 reported that due to the snowfall in Jiueli, they had to bring their sheep down to escape the cold. He mentioned that this year, snowfall occurred in October, which is much earlier than in previous years.
