Muhaiminul Haque Siam, who works at a private organization, reported arriving to work one hour late, telling Dhaka Tribune that the inclement weather had caused disruptions in public transportation services, leading to significantly higher fares on ride-sharing platforms.

People’s struggles were further compounded by a one-and-a-half-hour suspension of metro rail services due to power issues.
