The main Eid congregation took place at the National Eidgah Maidan at 8:30am
After a month of fasting, Eid-ul-Fitr, the major Islamic festival, is being joyously celebrated in Bangladesh on Thursday.
The main Eid congregation took place at the Eidgah Maidan at 8:30am., with stringent security measures in place.
The president, cabinet members, government bureaucrats, politicians, and other esteemed figures of the state participated in the prayer.
Prayer arrangements were made for approximately 35,000 Muslims at the National Eidgah. Overflowing with attendees, many also joined the prayers on the road outside the venue.
Meanwhile, people from all walks of life also attended the at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Meanwhile, the first Eid Jamaat at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque was led by Hafez Mufti Mawlana M Mizanur Rahman at 7am.
The second Jamaat took place at 8am, the third one at 9am and the fourth one at 10am.
The last one of the day will be held at 10:45am.
