A Mid-to-moderate heatwave sweeping over three divisions including Dhaka will continue for three more days, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department bulletin on Thursday.
“Mild to moderate heatwave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Khulna divisions and it may spread. Due to the increase in moisture incursion, the discomfort may increase. Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the
country,” reads the bulletin.
Meanwhile, the met office issued a heat warning or heat alert in these areas on Wednesday.
Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid said: "The heat will not reduce with ordinary scattered rains. It needs heavy rain, which may not take place.”
He said the maximum temperature may rise to 40° C in the next three days.
