Statistics have shown that MVR 2.5 billion has been utilized from the state budget for Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP) projects.

According to the weekly financial figures released by the Finance Ministry, MVR 1.4 billion was spent on PSIP projects last year, while MVR 2.5 billion has been spent thus far this year.

This year's budget has allocated MVR 6.3 billion for PSIP projects for the year. The current government is implementing several development projects across the Maldives. Planning Minister Mohamed Aslam has said 345 projects are currently underway.
