By Basanta Parajuli, Bharatpur, May 21: A tiger from Chitwan National Park (CNP) that was about to attack domesticated animals in a human settlement was captured on Tuesday.
A tiger was taken under control from the Meghauli area of West Chitwan and is now kept in a cage located at Kasara.
According to the veterinarian of the Chitwan National Park Dr Bijay Shrestha, the captured wild cat is two and a half years old. The troublesome tiger has been re-entrapped by the Chitwan National Park.
Tiger, who is learning to hunt alone after separating from its mother, is entering the human settlement as it cannot attack larger prey. The decision on whether to return the tiger to the jungle will be made only after studying his condition.
Four caged tigers were killed in a year in and around Chitwan and Parsa areas.
As many as 15 tigers are caged in Chitwan National Park, Bardiya National Park including in central zoo.
