In a message, Emperor Naruhito expresses his good wishes for the success and happiness of the President and the people of Nepal.

Japanese Emperor Naruhito has congratulated President Ramchandra Paudel on assuming his office as President of Nepal.

According to Suresh Chandra Chalise, foreign relations adviser to the President, the Emperor also expresses his good wishes for the success and happiness of the President and the people of Nepal.

Earlier, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida had sent an official letter to President Paudel, congratulating him on his inauguration as President of Nepal.

The Japanese Embassy in Kathmandu had in a statement said the Japanese government is looking forward to further working with the Nepali government to promote bilateral relations and friendship between the two countries and cooperate in the social and economic development of Nepal under Paudel’s leadership.

Paudel was sworn in as the third President of the country on March 13.
