Kathmandu, August 23 - Boksikhola in Kobang, Thasang Rural Municipality-2, Mustang, has been closed due to an avalanche.

DSP Bhojraj Pandey of Mustang informed that the landslide has blocked 80 percent of the river's flow.

Although a large lake has not formed, the avalanche has absorbed the water. DSP Pandey also mentioned that nine families living downstream of the blockage have been relocated to safer areas.

He added, "We are taking measures to raise awareness about potential risks."
